WADADIA is a women-led non-profit organization that is founded on three pillars of psychosocial support, economic empowerment and reproductive health.
The organization advocates for sexual reproductive health and rights for marginalized women and young adults through advancing gender equity and empowerment. In alignment with our three pillars of Psychosocial support, Reproductive health and economic empowerment, we focus on Female genital fistula, cervical cancer, gender based, violence, HIV and Aid and other Sexual transmitted infections. The organization implements programs in Kakamega, Kilifi, Bungoma, Siaya, West Pokot, Baringo, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Busia, Vihiga, Nandi and Bomet counties, with its headquarters in Mumias.
We promote access to sexual reproductive health information and services, through psychoeducation, targeted community outreaches, establishment of support groups, linkages to service delivery, regular advocacy meetings among other initiatives aimed at elimination of barriers to care, treatment and rights.
Application are invited from suitable qualified Kenyans for the post of a field officer to be based in west-pokot County.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Coordinate CORPS and programme activities in west –Pokot County
Support and enhance the process of identifying (screening) and selecting appropriate project beneficiaries (clients and community resource persons)
Coordinate the treatment of fistula clients including their welfare in the holding centre and at the medical facilities
Ensure smooth running of the reintegration activities and services provided to recovering clients at the holding center in west- pokot
Provide capacity building support for CORPs and field volunteers in their planning,implementation,monitoring and reporting activities supported by fistula foundation through training and technical assistance.
Regularly follow –up the CORPs to monitor their performance and to support the quality of interventions.
Organize and coordinate monthly progress review meetings with CORPs for experience sharing and mutual learning.
Organize and coordinate quarterly fistula rallies, outreach activities, stakeholder fora, and facility in –charges meetings
Maintain and keep record of motorcycle use and servicing for maintenance including fueling .
Compile and submit monthly and quarterly of data collected by progam and to verify the accuracy of the reported data
Support and participate in programe and project evaluations
Assist the Lead Director and the programmes officers with coordination of assigned projects.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Diploma in community development and social work(essential)
1 to 3 years of experience in community work (essential)
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
Excellent report writing skills.
Excellent public speaking skills
Conversant and fluency in the local dialect is an added advantage.
